Selection Criteria Of Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship

The selection criteria of the scholarship is as follows:-

• The selection criteria under the scheme is based on the annual family income.
• The candidate must have scored 50% off marks in the previous examination.
• The preference will be given to the lower income category.

Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions under this scheme are as follows:-

• The preference will be given to the minority population in state and union territory as per census 2011.
• The authority has the responsibility to change any rules from time to time.
• If the scholarship is discontinued then it will not be revived under any of these circumstances.
• Any of the false information found by the student in that case the scholarship will be cancelled and the amount will be recovered.
• If the children do the academic gap then the scholarship will be discontinued
• If the student is availing any scholarship from the central and the state government, they are not eligible to apply under the scholarship.
• Application to belong to the lowest income group will be given preference.

Important Points Regarding Scholarship

• Students have to submit their application within the prescribed time.
• The amount under this scheme will directly be credited into the account of beneficiaries to direct benefit transfer method.
• Transferring parents’ guardian account or payment through the cheque or demand draught is not permissible in any of the cases.
• Students should have to apply fresh in class no application for renewal would be granted.
• The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying examination.
• Community wise quota has been fixed on the basis of the minority of the population.

Rules Of Cancellation Under Scholarship

The rules for cancellation of scholarship under this scheme are as follows:-

• If a student does have an academic gap in studies due to any reason then scholarship will be discontinued.
• All those students who have failed to submit an application before time then it will be cancelled.
• If the false information is given by the students then it will be cancelled and the amount of scholarship will be recovered.

The eligibility criteria under the Begum Hazrat Mahal Scholarship is as follows:-

• An applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
• The candidate must belong to minority community such as Muslim, Christian, Jain’s, Buddhist, Sikhs and Parsis.
• The candidate must be studying from class 9 to class 12
• She must have scored at least 50% off marks in their last qualifying examination.
• The annual income of the family should not exceed more than Rs. 2 lakhs.
• Two students from one family can apply under this scheme.
