Scholarship Amount Under PM Scholarship

The scholarship amount under this scheme is as follows:-

  • The benefit will be provided to around 5500 eligible candidates each year.
  • Scholarships are equally distributed among the boys and girls.
  • Each and every boy and girl will get 2750 scholarships each year.
  • Around Rs. 3000 will be provided to the girl students
  • And Rs. 2500 will be provided to male students per month every year.
  • The duration of the scholarship will be from one year to five years.

Selection Criteria Of PM Scholarship

The selection criteria under this scheme is as follows:-

  • The first preference will be given to the walls and windows of CAPFs & AR Personnel who were killed.
  • The second preference will be given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR Personnel who got disabled.
  • The third preference will be given to the wards of deceased CAPFs & AR Personnel who died during their service.
  • The fourth preference will be given to the wards of Ex-CAPFs & AR Personnel who got disable attributable.
  • The fifth preference will be given to Ex-CAPFs & AR Personnel have received gallantry award
  • The sixth preference will be given to Ex-CAPFs & AR Personnel who are PBOR only.
  • The last preference will be given to the word of serving CAPFs & AR Personnel.

Eligibility Criteria For PM Scholarship

The eligibility criteria to apply under PM Scholarship are as follows:-

  • An applicant must be a dependent ward or widow of deceased, retired and servings CAPFs & AR Personnel
  • The candidate must be pursuing a professional course.
  • He or she must have passed class 12 or diploma or have done graduation.
  • The applicant must have obtained 60% off marks in the last examination.
  • The candidate must be pursuing integrated courses where one degree is professional and other is non professional.
  • Integrated courses (dual degree) that have both the courses as Professional/Technical for example BE+ME, B.Tech+M.Tech, BBA+MBA, etc. In such cases, only the first professional degree will be granted a scholarship.
  • Integrated Courses (dual degree) which have a first degree as Academic (Non-Professional) and second degree as Professional/Technical for example BA + LLB, B.Com + LLB, B.Sc.+B.Ed. In such cases, students will be paid for the professional part of the course and not for the non – professional/academic part.

Required Documents

The important documents to apply under PM Scholarship are as follows:-

  • Serving certificate issued by HOO
  • The certificate issued by the central government shows that the state palace was killed in Naxal/ Terror Attacks.
  • The candidate should have minimum education qualification such as class 12th marksheet, graduation marksheet and diploma marksheet
  • Discharge certificate/ PPO Discharge/ Book 
  • Death certificate for deceased personal
  • The disability certificate for disabled personal
  • The certificate of gallantry award for winners
