An AICTE which is responsible for maintaining planning, formulating, and standards of technical education throughout the country has launched a new scholarship known as the AICTE Swanath Scholarship. This scholarship will provide financial support to the orphan’s wards of the Armed Force and Central Paramilitary Forces. AICTE Swanath Scholarship

A new scholarship has been launched by AICTE in order to provide the financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 per annum to around 2000 students every year. The main objective of launching the AICTE Swanath Scholarship is to provide financial support for higher education to the children who are orphans, wards of parents that died due to covid-19, wards of force, and Central paramilitary forces. Now every student, despite their financial conditions, will get the opportunity for higher education through this scholarship. The financial amount under the scholarship will directly be transferred through the direct benefit transfer method on an annual basis.

Objective Of AICTE Swanath Scholarship

As we all know that there are many students who have lost their parents during the covid-19 pandemic and some people of armed force and Central paramilitary forces are martyred in action. Now their children do not have any sources to pursue their higher education. By keeping the situation AICTE has created a new scholarship known as the AICTE Swanath Scholarship. With the help of this scholarship, financial assistance will be provided to the children who have lost their parents in an action or during covid-19. The main objective of launching this scheme is to give them encouragement and support for higher education so that the literacy rate should be reduced in India.

PFMS Scholarship

Amount Of Scholarship 

All those interested applicants who have registered themselves under this scholarship will get the scholarship of Rs. 50,000 to around 2000 students each year. These 2000 scholarships are divided into two different categories. Out of these 1000 will be degree students and 1000 will be diploma students. The children can avail the benefit of the AICTE Swanath Scholarship for around 4 years for the first year admitted to degree College and three years for diploma students. Students can use this amount as College Fees, Purchase of Computer, Stationery, Book, Equipment Software, etc.

Selection Criteria Of AICTE Swanath Scholarship

The selection criteria under this scholarship are as follows:-

Degree Level Students

The selection criteria of degree level students are as follows:-

• Selection will be based on the merit of qualifying examination
• The selection will also be based on age and annual family income of the student.
• Students must have a higher percentage of marks and be a higher ranker.
• The preference will be given to the student of elder age and lower annual family income.

Diploma Level Students

The selection criteria of diploma level students are as follows:-

• The selection will be based on the merits of the qualifying examination.
• The preference will be given to the older age and the lower annual income student who have higher rank.

The benefits of this scholarship are as follows:-

• A new scholarship has been launched by AICTE for the students who have lost their parents during an action or during the covid-19.
• The name of this scholarship is AICTE Swanath Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria of the AICTE Swanath Scholarship is as follows:-

• The candidate must be an orphan.
• The single parent or both parents of the candidate have died due to covid-19 or or the parents belonging to on force and Central paramilitary forces martyred in action.
• An applicant must be studying in AICTE approved Institutions and courses.
• An applicant must be a recipient of any of the central and state government or AICTE sponsored scholarships.
• The annual family income of the candidate should not exceed more than Rs. 8 lakh per annum.
