Kendriya Sainik Board Scholarship 

In the year 2006-07 the Kendriya Sainik board scholarship launched a scholarship which is called the Kendriya Sainik Board Scholarship. This scholarship is also named the Prime Minister Scholarship. The government has started this scholarship in order to provide scholarships to the dependent wards and widows of the ex-servicemen and ExCoast guards labor who lost their lives in hardship due to causes attributable. Hence, the main purpose of launching this scholarship is to help the wards of the ex-servicemen & ex-Coast Guard financially so they could complete their studies and become independent without facing any type of financial problem.

Selection Criteria Of Prime Minister Scholarship

The Selection Criteria for students under this scholarship is given below

• 1st CATEGORY– The Wards and Widows of Ex-Servicemen & Ex-Coast Guards who have been killed in action.
• 2nd CATEGORY– The wards of those ESM who are disabled or lodge out of services with disability.
• 3rd CATEGORY–The ESM who died while in services for causes attributable to military guard service.
• 4th CATEGORY–The wards of ESM who are disabled in service with disability attributable to Military Guard Services.
• 5th CATEGORY–The wards & Widows of ESM in receipt of gallantry awards
• 6th CATEGORY–The wards & Widows of Ex-servicemen & Ex-Coast Guards Labour.

The duration of SAINIK BOARD SCHOLARSHIP is given below:

• The concerned department has approved the course of 2 to 5 years.
• The course for B.ed is for one year.

The eligibility criteria of this scholarship are given below:

• The applicant should have scored 60% marks in their previous examination
• The applicant must be taking his or her admission in the first year
• Those students we are already studying in second year are not eligible  to apply except  for integrated courses.
• The Wards of Paramilitary personnel are not eligible for this scholarship
• Wards of ex- servicemen and X coast guards are eligible to apply
