This umbrella scholarship 2021 Meghalaya pre-matric scheme for ST  is offered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. This scholarship has been provided to support the ST child’s education system. 

Umbrella Scheme for St Children – Post-Matric Scholarship (Pms) For St Students

The scholarship is only applicable for those students who are residents of Meghalaya and are pursuing their education from a recognized government/private/Meghalaya of the state. The Government of India announced the Meghalaya Post Matric Scholarship Umbrella Scheme For Education for ST Children and all the eligible candidates can fill the scholarship form.

Selection Criteria

The selection criteria under this scholarship are as follows:-

• The scholarships shall be awarded to all qualifying Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Minorities candidates, depending on the application of the Means Test specified in Regulation.
• The students who belong to Meghalaya but are not studying in another state are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Rewards Details

The rewards details under this scholarship are as follows:-

• Under Meghalaya Scholarship, the scholarship money will be paid to the selected participants by the Government of the State/Union Territory Administration.
• The maintenance charges are due from April 1st or the month of admission.
• If the student is getting some remuneration during the internship period will not be provided a scholarship.
• If a prior year’s scholarship is renewed, maintenance expenses will be charged from the month.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of Meghalaya Scholarship is as follows:-

• The applicant must be a citizen of India.
• The applicant must be a resident of Meghalaya.
• The candidate must be studying authorised pre-matriculation and post-matriculation courses.
• The applicants who are members of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Minorities are eligible to apply under this scholarship.
• The Students who are employed full-time are not eligible for this scholarship.
• Employed students, on the other hand, who take a leave of absence for the duration of the course and enrol as full-time students will be eligible for scholarships.
• The students who are Enrolled in part time classes are not eligible to apply under this scholarship.
• The benefits of the scholarship scheme will be available to all children of the same parents/guardians.
• Under this arrangement, a scholarship recipient will not be eligible for any other scholarship or stipend.
• The students who are studying in the same stage of education in various subjects after passing one stage of education, such as B. Com after B.A., or M.A. in one subject after M.A. in another topic, are not eligible to apply under this scholarship.
• The candidates that continue their professional studies in a different line after completing their educational career in one, such as LLB. After B.T./B.Ed., is not eligible to apply under this scholarship.
• The students who are enrolled in post-graduate medical programs will be eligible if they are not permitted to practice during their studies.
• The applicant who enrol in any recognized professional or technical Certificate/Diploma/Degree Courses after failing or passing undergraduate/graduate/post-graduate examinations in Arts/Science/Commerce are eligible to apply.
• The applicants who are doing corresponding courses are eligible to apply under this scholarship.

• An affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper signed by the self-employed parents or guardians, stating definite income from all sources.

• If the applicant had received a scholarship under this plan in the previous year, a receipt in acknowledgment of the scholarship is required.
