The Ministry of Minority Affairs has created a new scholarship to provide yearly scholarships to students belonging to the minority community. Under MOMA Scholarship, three types of scholarships will be provided to these students in order to continue their higher education. All the students belonging to minority communities such as Muslims, Sikhs, Christian, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis can avail various scholarships such as pre-Matric Scholarship post-matric scholarship and merit come means scholarship for technical and professional courses. Objective Of MOMA Scholarship
As we all know there are many minority community students who due to their weak financial condition are not able to pursue higher education. And their dream of continuing education stayed incomplete. By keeping this in mind the ministry of minority affairs has launched a new scholarship known as MOMA Scholarship. Under this scheme, the scholarship will be provided to the students belonging to the minority community in order to complete their higher education. The main objective of launching this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to minority children to continue their higher education in professional and technical courses.

Selection Procedure Of MOMA Scholarship
The selection procedure for the various scholarship is as follows:-
Pre Matric Scholarship For Minorities
The selection criteria for the pre-matric scholarship is as follows:-
- The selection is based on the economic condition of the candidate.
- In case of the same financial condition the preference will be given to the older one.
Post Matric Scholarship For Minorities
The selection procedure for the post-matric scholarship is as follows:-
- The selection of the applicant is based on the financial situation of the candidate.
- The preference will be given to the older one in case of similar income.
Merit Cum Means Scholarship For Professional & Technical
The selection criteria of merit cum mean scholarship is as follows:-
- The selection criteria is based on the merits in their last examination.
- The first preference will be given to the application from listed institute in the merit list
Terms & Conditions
The terms and conditions of the MOMA Scholarship are as follows:-
- 30% of the scholarship is reserved for the girls community. There are less number of girls present than that scholarship will be transferred to the male candidates.
- Only two students per family will get the benefit of this scheme.
- The students should attend classes regularly.
- If there is any violation of the Institute for school discipline then this scholarship is liable to be cancelled or suspended.
- If the false information is given by the students then the candidate will have to pay back the scholarship amount.
- The candidate must not obtaining any of the scholarship’s benefit
Benefits Of MOMA Scholarship
The benefits of this scholarship are as follows:-
- A new scholarship has been created by the Ministry of Minority affairs for the students belonging to the minority community.
- The name of the scholarship is MOMA Scholarship.
- Under this scholarship, the financial assistance will be provided in the form of a scholarship to the minority student in order to continue their education.
- With the help of this scholarship, they will be able to pursue the pre Matric Scholarship post matric scholarship and metric come means scholarship without worrying about any financial hurdles.
- The scholarship under this scheme will be provided for the entire course.
- There are around 30 lacs scholarships which are distributed into three categories.
- Around 5 lakh scholarship for post matric, 6000 scholarships are under merit cum means scholarship.

- Now the students belonging to minority communities such as Muslim, Sikhs, Jains, Parsis will now be able to continue their education in professional courses.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for different scholarships are as follows:-
