Objectives Of NMMS Scholarship Scheme
The main objective of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the students in order to complete their studies. Many of the students drop out of their studies because of the financial conditions of their family because their family could not afford the expenses of their studies. The Government of India has launched a Scholarship which is known as NMMS Scholarship. This Scholarship provides funds to the children for their studies. NMMS Scholarship 2021 Award

NMMS Scholarship Result Declaration
The results of this scholarship are as follows:-
- Students are required to secure at least 55% marks in the final examination of class 8.
- For SC and ST students there is a relaxation of 5%The Students have to fulfil all the eligibility conditions in order to apply for NMMS scholarship
- The student is required to score at least 40% marks on each test
- There is relaxation for certain reserved categories
- For reserved categories, the cut off marks are 32%
Important Conditions Regarding Starting & Continuing Of NMMS Scholarship
The list of some important conditions regarding starting and continuing this scholarship is as follows:-
- If any school or educational institution does not conduct an examination at the end of class 9th or 12th the scholarship for 2nd year will be continued on the submission of certificate to this effect from the head of the institution or school
- For continuation of this scholarship the awardee is required to obtain at least 60% marks in class 10th
- The relaxation will be of 5%This scheme will be reviewed after three years
- The department will monitor the scheme at regular intervals with concerned stakeholder
- For effective implementation and monitoring of this scheme a technical support group will be constituted
- For receiving the scholarship the awardees should get clear promotion from class 8 to class 9thThe scholarship is payable at the secondary and higher secondary stage or equivalent classes of 9th to 12th for a maximum period of four years
- Students can avail this scholarship for studies in India only
- For getting this scholarship in class 10th and 12 the awardees are required to get clear promotion in class 9th to 10th and from class 11th to 12th in first attempt with at least 55% marks

Disbursement Of NMMS Scholarship
The disbursement of this scholarship is as follows:-
- It is the responsibility of State Bank of India to ensure that the scholarship is provided to the beneficiary in one go after getting funds and list from the ministry
- Other than that the State Bank of India will also instruct its branches to coordinate with state education department in connection with the payment of scholarship
- If a student is obtaining a scholarship from the state of the Central Government then he or she will not be eligible to take benefit of this scheme
- The scholarship awardee is required to open bank account in State Bank of India or any public sector bank or scheduled bank

- This list will be scrutinised by the ministry and sanction of fund from the annual budget provision will be made
