 The Korean Government has launched the Global Korea Scholarship to support economically weaker family students.  This scholarship will help them to carry forward their further education without any worry of funds. Those students who are pursuing a BA or MA Degree from a university in a Korean country will get the advantage of this scholarship.

Total Number of Scholarships

• There are 220 scholarships for Global Korea Undergraduate
• The Scholars will be selected in two ways: the Embassy track and the university track.
• Through the Embassy track, 125 Scholars will be selected and through the University track, 95 students will be selected.
•  For those students who are graduates of global Korea, Research and doctorate research for them there are 1278 scholarships.
•  Graduates of global courier research 663 will be selected through the Embassy and 615 will be selected for the university’s track.
• There are only 8 seats available for Indian students.
•  For undergraduate Indian students, there will be  3 scholarships which will be selected through the Embassy track and 3 through the university track and 2 for associate degrees.
• For postgraduate Indian students, 22 seats are available under the Embassy track And one for the Korean language. 

Important Information

Selected scholars will need a student visa before travelling to South Korea for their studies. Students can get that from the embassy of the Republic of Korea in India, New Delhi or the consulate officers in Chennai and Mumbai. Without Visa, students cannot travel, so this is very important for this scholarship.

For Easing Indian Students

The Korean embassy in India has taken a Decision for the ease of Indian students that they will accept notarized documents. It will save time and expense for Indian students. This is only applied to those who have applied for Embassy track applicants. The students can submit one set of application forms, notarized documents and recommendation letters sealed in one envelope.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students must be permanent residents or citizens of Korea.
•  Students must be pursuing postgraduate or undergraduate courses.
•  The age limit of the student will be 25 years while pursuing undergraduate studies and 45 while pursuing postgraduate studies.
