About KALIA Scholarship 2024

A new scholarship has been created by the government of Odisha state in order to provide benefits to the children of the farmers that belong to the state. With the help of the KALIA Scholarship, the children of the farmers will be able to pursue their higher education in professional and Technical courses without worrying about any financial hurdle. The applicants who are pursuing their education in medical engineering agriculture allied nursing diploma and different rates from the government institutions will be able to take the benefit from this scholarship.

Implementation Of KALIA Scholarship

• Under the KALIA Scholarship, a state level committee, implementation committee,  and district level committee were formed which will review and monitor the implementation of this scholarship. This committee can also suggest changes that are required
• This scholarship is  launched by Odisha Government
• Under KALIA Scholarship every charge or type of fees will be given by the government in the form of scholarship.
• Mess or hostel charges of Rs 1200 per month and Rs 1000 per month will be provided for 10 months to the beneficiaries
• This game is implemented by the department of agriculture and farmers empowerment

Disbursement of KALIA Scholarship

Here is the disbursement of this scholarship:-

• The government will publish the scholarship on the emails
• If any student gets the scholarship with false statements he will definitely be punished
• No physical applications will be accepted under this scholarship
• Students are also required to give consent on the following points:-
• Parents being beneficiary of KALIA Scholarship
• He or she is not getting any other scholarship
• Student is interested to shift from the existing scholarship to the Kalia scholarship (if he or she is availing any other scholarship)

Responsibilities Of Head Of The Institution

Responsibilities of the head of the institutions are given right here:-

• The department is going to provide the user id and password to the head of the institution for online verification of the applications
• It is the responsibility of the head of the institution to ensure the genuineness of the studentH by checking all the details
• Head of the institution is required to verify the name of parent with the help of high school certificate
• Student’s status of day scholar or hosteller is also to be verified by the head of the institution
• It is the responsibility of the head of the institution to ensure that the student is not getting scholarship under any other scholarship
• The verified applications will be forwarded to the chief district agriculture officer
• In case of double application only single record will be authenticated
• The scholarship amount under this scholarship will be automatically renewed if the student achieves satisfactory performance

Responsibilities Of Chief District Agricultural Officer

Here are the Responsibilities of the chief district agriculture officer:-

• The department is going to provide a user id and password for the scholarship portal to the chief district agriculture officer
• After receiving the recommendation from the principal or head of the institution the chief district agricultural officer will verify that the parents of the student is the beneficiary of Kalia Yojana or not
• After authenticating the chief district agriculture officer will disburse the amount of scholarship into the bank account of the student

Responsibilities Of Director Of Agriculture And Food Production

Here are the responsibilities of a director of agriculture and food production:-

• The director of agriculture and food production is responsible for preparing reports
• Other than that the director of agriculture and food production is also responsible for monitoring the pendency of application at different levels
• At directorate level fund management will do like opening account, administrative sanction and approval

The eligibility criteria for KALIA Scholarship is as follows:-

• Applicants must be a child of the beneficiary of Kalia Yojana
• The applicant must be studying in a government institution on merit basis
• Those students who have taken admission on cost sharing/self financing/NRI cannot apply under the scheme
• If the student is getting any other scholarship then he or she is not eligible to take the scholarship (he or she can shift from existing follow ship to Kalia scholarship)
• This scholarship is available for professional courses
