JEE Main 2026 Preparation Tips

1
Strengthen Fundamentals
Focus on NCERT Class 11 & 12 for Physics and Chemistry. Build a rock-solid foundation before moving to advanced problems.
2
Mathematics — Practice Daily
Solve at least 30-40 problems daily covering Calculus, Algebra, and Coordinate Geometry. These three topics carry over 60% weightage.
3
Previous Year Papers
Solve JEE Main papers from the last 10 years. NTA frequently repeats concepts and question patterns from previous years.
4
Time Management in CBT
Practice on the NTA Abhyas App to get comfortable with the computer-based interface. Allocate 60 minutes per subject during the exam.
5
Numerical Value Questions
Focus on numerical-type questions as they have no negative marking. These can be score-boosters if practiced well.
6
Attempt Both Sessions
Register for both January and April sessions. The better of the two scores is considered, giving you two chances to improve.
