MHT-CET 2026 Preparation Tips

1
Focus on Maharashtra Board Syllabus
MHT-CET questions heavily draw from Maharashtra State Board textbooks. Read Balbharati textbooks thoroughly for Class 11 and 12 — many questions come verbatim.
2
No Negative Marking Advantage
Unlike JEE, MHT-CET has no negative marking. Attempt ALL questions — even educated guesses can boost your score significantly.
3
NCERT for Chemistry
For Chemistry, NCERT textbooks supplement the State Board syllabus well. Focus on reactions, equations, and named reactions for Organic Chemistry.
4
Practice Mental Math
MHT-CET gives limited time per question (~1.3 minutes). Practice mental calculations and shortcut methods to save time on calculation-heavy questions.
5
Solve Previous Year MHT-CET Papers
Solve MHT-CET papers from the last 5-7 years. The difficulty level and question pattern remain consistent — this is the best way to score high.
6
Mock Tests on CBT Platform
Practice on the official CET Cell mock test platform to familiarize yourself with the computer-based interface, navigation, and on-screen calculator.
