About This Scholarship

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulk Shishyavrutti Yojana is Maharashtra's flagship EBC tuition-fee scholarship for students pursuing professional courses (engineering, pharmacy, medicine, management, law, teacher training). Per the March 14, 2026 announcement by Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, girls receive a 100% tuition fee waiver and boys receive a 50% waiver under this scheme. The policy drove girls' enrolment in professional courses from 85,068 in AY 2023-24 to 115,800 in AY 2024-25 — roughly a 41% jump. 2026-27 update: Maharashtra is auto-linking MahaDBT scholarships with CAP admission — eligible CAP-admitted students get approval at admission, no separate application, no yearly renewal.
